Gifted by the spirit. . .

           going out for god

God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever

believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

These words of John 3:16-17 are the best news anyone can ever hear, and we want to share that good news with everyone.

We partner with other congregations of our Synod to spread the Gospel throughout the world and train pastors and teachers.

We partner with other faith agencies to share the love of Christ and the Gospel message.

We actively support a variety of local Social Ministries by providing volunteers and resources.

We support several missionaries, seminary students and church workers with prayers and gifts.

Our congregation sponsors outreach trips for our youth and special mission projects for the combined Sunday School classes.

Summer Vacation Bible School gives even the youngest among us a chance to share the good news about Jesus with their friends.

The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the

least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'

Matthew 25:40

Social Ministry is a local outreach ministry, dedicated to the monetary and spiritual needs of the Christ the King community and surrounding areas.Three percent of the offerings of our congregation enable Social Ministry to contribute to various local charitable organizations. Our focus is on the four life stages, including babies, youth, adults and seniors. It is our hope to contribute to charities in each of these stages quarterly with the guidance of the Social Ministry team. We are blessed with additional funding through Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for many of our projects.

Our congregation also works to share the love of Christ and the Gospel message to those within and beyond our local community, through direct service, prayers and monetary support. We make & ship quilts and health kits for Lutheran World Relief. The annual summer Vacation Bible School is our inter-generational opportunity to  bring the Gospel message to children and families, and invite them to share in a mission project. Each year our Sunday School supports a specific mission project through partnerships with national and international agencies.

We support seminary students, church workers and translators, pastors and families in the mission field with our prayers, scholarships and gifts.
