Our 8:30 am service is presented in the more formal and historic liturgical format of the Divine Service. We honor our Lutheran musical heritage with rich hymnody, the sung liturgy, choral anthems, soloists, organ, handbells and other instrumentation. Members of the community help lead worship by serving as ushers, lectors, intercessors, children's lesson leaders, cantors, acolytes, crucifers, banner bearers and greeters.
Worship is a family affair at Christ the King, and children are always a welcome part of the worship assembly. They are encouraged to participate as they are able, and invited to come forward for Children's Lessons and to receive a blessing during Holy Communion. An attended nursery and children's church bags are available for the youngest members of the family.
